About ACMA
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is Australia's regulator for:
- Broadcasting
- The internet
- Radiocommunications
- Telecommunications.
It was formed was in July 2005 when the Australian Communications Authority (ACA) merged with the Australian Broadcasting Authority (ABA).
ACMA registers
The ACMA provides a range of useful registers and lists for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander broadcasters. These include:
- Register of Radiocommunications Licences: this online register enable searches for the status of broadcasting licences in terms of licensee, type of licence, expiry period, frequency and more.
- List of community radio broadcasters
- List of community TV broadcasters
